QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • I am a plus size mom. Does the back pack have a belt long enough for large around people?

Hello!  Thanks for reaching out.  The Freeloader child carrier has a waist belt that accomadates up to a 48" waist.
    Thanks!

  • Can this be used as a front carrier? Or is it only appropriate as a backpack?

The Freeloader is designed to be worn as a backpack. Its frame, harness system, and weight distribution are all based on hiking backpack technology, which allows the carrier to safely and comfortably support larger children over longer distances.

While a small number of families have occasionally used it facing forward, that is not the intended use. For comfort, stability, and proper weight distribution, the Freeloader is designed to be worn on the back.

  • Silly question, but Is the safety strap meant for the child being carried who is over 50" tall? Or is the measurement (over 50" tall) for the adult?

Not a silly question at all!

The extension straps are designed for children who are over 50 inches tall. They provide additional length so the carrier can comfortably fit taller children.

The Support Strap is an optional extra layer of support for the child being carried. Many families use it for additional stability, particularly for children who may have lower torso muscle tone or who benefit from a bit more upper-body support while riding.
