Works great

This was super comfortable as I used it to hike several days of +4 miles with my son who has cerebral palsy.

Surpassed my expectations

We purchased this specifically for a family vacation so our youngest could keep up. Not only were we thrilled with it, ease of use and comfort, but we were asked by several people what it was and how to get it. Thank you for making our vacation a smooth one!

A very good product with some areas of improvement

I've been using the freeloader in the last 2 weeks on a european trip with my 3 year old daughter. She is around 15KG now. This is exactly what I want in a child carrier. I've used the Osprey POCO and POCO LT, and this is much easier to put on and take out the child. It is very sturdy and I feel safe with my child. My child loves it too. Areas of improvement: 1. Most importantly, there are far too many loose straps dangling around. The whole thing can become a mess when we are moving around especially when the kid is not on the carrier. I am 5foot 4 and a 32 waiste, and there's a lot of excess straps flailing around. The Osprey Pocos uses clips and velco for some of the size adjustment which eliminates a lot of extra strap that could get entangled. 2. the centre of gravity seems to be a bit higher than the Pocos, if the child can be a few inches lower, then the weight would be closer to the hips. 3. I lost the drool pillow on the first day of use. Somehow, after a day of the child getting on and off the carrier, it fell off. Seems like it could be fasten in a more secure way.

Just what we needed!

I bought this for my husband who is 6’ 6”. He’s never been able to comfortably carry our toddler in a carrier before-the longer torso option was exactly what we needed and now our hikes are even better!
