The Freeloader is the first child carrier built specifically for toddlers & small children, allowing families to enjoy adventures together. The light, unique design & 5 point safety harness allow parents to rest their arms, children to rest their legs, and for families to safely go further than they have ever gone together - whether that's a short trip to the zoo or a long trek to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro (yes...it's been there, too). Minimum age: 2.5 years. Carrying capacity: 80 lbs (32.6kg)

Hi, Is the child supposed to sit facing the carrier or facing backwards. If the former, how do you ensure that the restraints don't easily slipped from the child's shoulders? Thank you Cesare
The child sits facing the same way as the adult wearing the Freeloader. There is a five point safety harness plus to additional straps that go over each leg. The shoulder straps should not slip off of the child's shoulders. To ensure this, on the child, the horizontal strap that connects their two shoulder straps needs to run across their skapulas. This keeps the shoulder straps in place on the child.
Hi, how long would it take to shipp it to Germany ?
Typically it takes between 6-8 business days to get to Germany. Occasionally, Customs will delay it a bit more however, that happens very infrequently.
We love the product ..we purchased ours off Amazon .. works great w lots of stares and complements.. the only issue is on the only issue is the straps sort of dig into the show sort of dig into the shoulders for long walks for long walks I'm assuming this can be rectified with and be rectified with extra padding to make it a 5 star item. We are walking billboards downtown Chicago where we live and where we live and everyone is so excited for us to tell them about this to tell them about this item.
We were specifically looking for a backpack carrier for our five year old on our North Woods Maine hiking trips. Our daughter was very comfortable in it and my husband was able to carry her along the trails comfortably as well. It does make your back hot even when the child is not in it, but I don't see how that can be avoided and in time the straps that went over his shoulders on his chest to under the arm pits would dig into his chest. That could use a little refinement but overall, we were very very happy with our purchase.
I'm able to carry my 45lb 5yo on easy trail (Mom at 130lb) on day 1. Don't need to cajole, bribe and (mildly) threaten anymore!! Can't wait to get out on longer hikes.
The Freeloader has been just what we were looking for. Our family has always like being outdoors and going on hikes. It gives us the ability to continue going when in the past my son needed to be carried and we turned around. The pack itself is comfy and feels like my Osprey pack I use for backpacking. I just wish I had this when my daughter was younger.
